Who is Ronan?
Ronan's earliest musical influences came from living around the west
coast of Ireland and encouragement from his mother Catherine. In
addition to his mother playing music, he would listen along with his
grandparents and aunt who all played music. He loved the voice of
Elvis and enjoyed metal and punk genres. He credits some of his
favorites such as Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Jethro Tull with
causing him to look into all types of music. Ronan enjoys just about
any music as long as it is heartfelt and honest.
Ronan's Favorite Things:
He thrives on quiet time! Being out in nature which would include long
walks on bike paths or by the ocean. Of course he enjoys listening to
music and relaxing with friends. He likes the distraction of movies,
goes golfing until the weather doesn’t permit, and the occasional
fishing trip.

What is Ronan’s Style?
Ronan writes with simple and straightforward language that is "true
to life". It is with this genuine expression that causes his voice
to sing out with sincere passion! His songs are usually narrative with
one idea in mind that sometimes evolves into a much bigger picture. For
example, his original song entitled, "Stuck In A Situation", a
personal relationship parallels current political events. He attempts to
convey actions and reactions. Ronan said," I vocalize my feelings
and thoughts about what I see going on in the world, then express how
the rest of creation reacts."
Whenever you catch Ronan live, he always keeps a
sense of humour-(sometimes dark)-just to make sure people have fun and
keep their wits about them! Ronan has a beard most of the year, along
with his curly dark hair. He thus has an appropriate nickname of
"Fluffy"! You will frequently see his gigs advertised in the
Boston version of the Irish
Emigrant magazine as Ronan "Fluffy" Quinn. On occasion,
you will hear Ronan use his favorite saying, "Keep it
fluffy!!" |
